Mr. Wharton is President and Founder of North American Training Group, an International provider of insurance fraud training and education. Fred develops Compliance and Continuing Education courses on the topics of insurance fraud for all lines of insurance and insurance personnel as well as investigators throughout the world. Mr. Wharton is also President and CEO of VeriMX, Inc. the worlds only on-line Mexican Public record data base. Fred has been involved in the insurance fraud and investigation industry for over 19 years, working as a Field Investigator, SIU Manager, VP of Investigations and Training Director.
North American Training Group and the Big I have partnered to provide members with the resources to learn about fraud, identify it and help combat the ever growing issue. Mr. Wharton has an International Business degree, along with minors in Criminology and Economics. He maintains a professional designation as a Fraud Claims Law Specialist (FCLS). Fred also spent 12 years with the Fort Lauderdale, Florida Police Department in the street level investigative unit.

Ed Lamont began his insurance career as a surety bond producer and Vice President of Atlantic Risk Management Corporation in Columbia, MD in 1984. He's specialized as a Workers Compensation producer with Burke, Bogart, and Brownell in Boca Raton, FL since 1993. Today, Ed is President of Lamont Consulting Group, Inc. in Palm Beach, FL.
Ed leads Dynamics of Selling and serves on the James K. Ruble Graduate Seminar faculty for the National Alliance for Insurance Education and Research. He's taught at the National Alliance School for Producer Development and helped develop the National Alliance’s Dynamics of Personal Lines program.
Ed frequently contributes to Certified Insurance Counselor's RESOURCES magazine. His sales and marketing ideas can be read regularly in AMERICAN AGENT and BROKER and at www.AgentsofAmerica.org. Ed’s the author of STREET SMART SELLING: The Beliefs, Strategies, and Management Ideas of Successful Insurance Professionals published by the National Alliance Research Academy www.scic.com. He’s created, produced, and led scores of sales, marketing, and management webinars.
A graduate of the University of Maryland with a BA in Law Enforcement in 1976, Ed earned his Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) in 1990 and Certified Risk Manager (CRM) professional designation in 2005. Ed completed the National Association of Surety Bond Producers Level II Surety School; is a former Dale Carnegie Sales Champion and Group Leader; and earned the Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) designation from Toastmasters International.
Florida businesses, trade associations, and non-profit organizations have benefited from Ed's professional networking, public speaking, and leadership programs. He presents sales and marketing training at insurance association conferences, insurance companies producer schools, excess and surplus lines brokers, and independent agencies throughout the country.
Ed has experience as a radio talk show host in West Palm Beach, is co-founder of the Bill Gove Golden Gavel Toastmaster club in Boynton Beach, FL, and serves as a docent at the Henry M. Flagler Museum in Palm Beach, FL, where he was recognized as 2001, 2006, and 2007 Docent of the Year. He lives in Boynton Beach, FL with his wife, Liz, and basset hound, Rosie.

Erik grew up in Donovan, IL and graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University in 1996. He started his technology career working as a web designer and Director of Business Development for Dave’s World in Bloomington, IL. In 2000, Erik was recruited by COUNTRY Financial to help start their first web development department and then spent three years as the Internet Agency Marketing Consultant.
Erik started Mavidea Technology Group with three other business owners in June of 2007 and the company has grown rapidly. As the CEO of the company, he oversees 20+ employees focused on building long-term client relationships through IT and Web Design Services.
