IIA of IL Membership Information
Join the Independent Insurance Agents of Illinois (IIA of IL) and become a member of one of the largest Agents Associations in the United States. As a member of the IIA of IL you will have access to programs designed specifically for the independent agency.
There are two membership types for the IIA of IL:
Property & Casualty Agency Membership
This membership is available to all property & casualty agencies that have at least one direct contract with a property & casualty carrier.
As a P&C Agency member you have access to all programs on a state level and national level. The IIA of IL belongs to the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America (IIABA). You can also use the state and national logo on all your business items.
Associate Membership
The Associate Membership is available to anyone who does not fall into the first category. Associate members include insurance companies, life agents, software companies and other individuals or companies which may have an interest in the insurance industry.
As an Associate member you have access to most of our programs on a state level. We offer five membership options that incorporate dues, advertising credit, convention, magazine subscriptions, young agents sponsorship, partners membership, and more all into one package:
Individual Company Membership - $1,000
Bronze Level - $3,500
Silver Level - $8,500
Gold Level - $15,000
Platinum Level - $20,000

IIA of IL offers a variety of programs to its members.
Insurance Products
The IIA of IL is the #1 provider of professional liability in Illinois. With multiple markets and competitive rates, we have a solution to meet your needs. Government Affairs
The IIA of Illinois is one of the leading lobbying groups in the industry. We have a very successful political action program that we use to support legislators and candidates who share our business philosophies. Your Government Relations team advocates for legislative initiatives that protect small businesses while keeping the consumer in mind. A key component of the Government Relations program is lobbying by staff and grassroots lobbying by association members to educate lawmakers on and to encourage their support of legislation that will preserve the viability and prosperity of the independent agency system. Access to the Latest Insurance Information
IIA of IL staff has the knowledge and resources to help you find answers to your insurance questions. We have had a hand in writing many provisions in the insurance code and we meet regularly with insurance regulators to keep abreast of the latest issues. We can also help place agents with companies.
Education
We are the largest education providers in the State of Illinois for insurance agents. We offer many different programs throughout the year which qualify for continuing education credits. Visit our Education section for more information.
Monthly Magazine
We publish a monthly magazine, INSURANCE INSIGHT, which is sent to all members. Each issue contains articles on topics such as insurance trends, technology, markets and coverages, financial planning, state and federal issues, agency management, sales and marketing, education, industry news, and programs and events sponsored by IIA of IL.
Annual Convention
Each year the IIA of IL hosts one of the largest insurance conventions in the nation. The event features continuing education sessions, industry trade show, awards presentations, annual business meeting, networking opportunities, top-notch speakers, entertainment, and much more. Access to a variety of insurance related information
IIA of IL has a professional staff that can help you find answers to many of your insurance related questions. We have access to the IL Insurance Laws and Regulations and many other insurance related publications. We can also help place agents with companies or companies with agents.
